The Night's Watch: A Dragon's Song - by Amy Champagne

In the heart of Celtic lore, where shadows dance, A dragon dwells in silent vigilance, Its scales like opals, iridescent bright, A watcher in the night, a guardian of light.

From atop the hills, it surveys the land, With eyes that hold the wisdom of ages grand, Love flows within its veins, a boundless stream, For every villager, it holds a dream.

Joy in its heart as it spreads its wings wide, Peace in its breath as it soars through the sky, Kindness in its gaze, a gentle embrace, Goodness in every move, with grace and grace.

Faith guides its path through the darkest of nights, Patience in its wait, beneath starry lights, Mildness in its roar, a soothing song, Self-restraint, though its power is strong.

In the depths of night, when danger draws near, The dragon rises, casting away fear, With a heart full of love, it defends with might, Shielding the innocent from the darkest plight.

Whispers of the noble dragon, now converge, With the tale of this guardian, ever-urge, For in every tale of valor and might, Lies the essence of love, shining bright.

So let us sing of dragons, fierce and true, Of the love that binds them, through and through, In the tapestry of life, they weave their part, Protectors of the soul, with every heart.

Thus, in Celtic lands where legends thrive, The dragon soars, keeping hope alive, A beacon of light in the endless night, A symbol of love, burning ever-bright.
